What is a Logic Model?
A logic model is a ‘map’ of your program. It is a simple, logical illustration of what you do, why you do it and how you will know if you are successful. There is a wide variety of logic model formats, but most have the same key components. The elements of a logic model will become clearer as you go through the logic model building process. Although it is laid out in a step by step fashion, you will find the need to “loop back” to make sure decisions made in later steps still match choices you made earlier in the process.

What are the specific components of a logic model?

Where can I create a logic model of my own?
FRIENDS, in collaboration with the National Clearinghouse for Child Abuse and Neglect Information, has developed an on-line Logic Model Builder. It guides users as they create their own logic model. As users select outcomes and indicators from the menu, they are exported to the corresponding section of the logic model.
