NCANDS LINKAGES SUBCOMMITTEE

What is the NCANDS Linkages Subcommittee?
This subcommittee is charged with exploring ways to foster stronger linkages between CBCAP and NCANDS through greater collaboration with the prevention grantees and CPS data administrators who report NCANDS.  The subcommittee’s primary charge is to discuss ways to improve the data reporting regarding the number of recipients of CBCAP for the annual Child Maltreatment report. The group will work to develop consistent definitions of child abuse prevention programs for CBCAP and NCANDS. The group is also charged with making recommendations on how CBCAP can better utilize NCANDS data to evaluate the effectiveness of prevention programs.  The subcommittee will work with WRMA, the NCANDS TA provider, the Data Archive and Children’s Bureau staff to review, assess, and make recommendations for increasing the utility of NCANDS data for prevention.
